Britta and Justin’s day was a true family affair on the prairies, with all hands on deck to pull off a gorgeous farm wedding outside of Weyburn. The day began with a flutter of activity on the Tracey Farm as family and friends set up the reception tent decor, lovingly placed the chair covers that Britta’s grandmother had sewn on the chairs and got the S’mores bar ready for the evening.
Inside, the bride and her bridesmaids got ready upstairs while the groom and his groomsmen prepared downstairs. The sunroom was full of flowers as the bride’s cousin arranged the florals for the day. Giggling with anticipation, the bridesmaids drank coffee from the cups the bride had made and gifted them made while the bride hand wrote her thank-you cards.
The ceremony, officiated by Father Gerry Bauche, took place in Justin’s family church. Afterwards, it was back to the farm for family and bridal portraits. Barns, fields and meadows provided the backdrop for their photographs. A friend even brought in a drone for an aerial view of the action.
The day was completed by a reception filled with a BBQ feast, with Britta’s cousin’s band Private Drive rocking out, and family and friends surrounded by a campfire.
