Brittany and Ian’s wedding was truly a fairy tale! They got married in Moosomin, where they both grew up and live. When Brittany was planning her wedding, she envisioned getting married in a winter wonderland, but the winter of 2015 had proven to be warm with little snow. Fortunately, as it often happens in fairy tales, the bride-to-be woke up the morning of her wedding day to find that her dream had come true! There was just the right amount of snow on the ground!
The ceremony took place at the Bethel United Church in Moosomin. This beautiful church looked very festive for the upcoming Christmas season! After the ceremony the newlyweds walked out to a pair of majestic Clydeslades waiting to take them away. Does it get any more romantic? Although it was chilly, Brittany was brave enough to take pictures without a jacket! Since we were approaching winter solstice it was already dark outside when the newlyweds and the wedding party were supposed to make their appearance at the reception. The Main Street in Moosomin is always beautifully decorated for the Christmas season and Brittany actually works on this same street, so it was an appropriate spot for the final shot of their wedding day!
From the bride, Brittany:
Our day was perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful winter day – we even had a beautiful snowfall! We felt overjoyed to be surrounded by so many family members and friends. As quickly as the day went, we embraced every minute and had a blast celebrating our love and new marriage with the people we care about. My favourite memory was leaving the church, married to the man of my dreams. Awaiting our arrival outside was a beautiful pair of Clydesdales to carry us off to get our pictures taken.
Future brides: Relax! Things that may seem important at the time really aren’t – as long as you end up married to your best friend at the end of the day, it will be perfect.
