“Leading up to the wedding we started to get tired of the daily wedding decisions. We were losing sight of the real reason for the wedding day, the two of us. About two months before hand we started going out on ‘no wedding talk dates’ once a week. Time where the two of us would just get out of the house and not talk about the wedding. Because we were on a budget these ‘dates’ were not expensive nights out. Sometimes we would just go out for coffee and talk about our day. We were finding that we were starting to lose ourselves in all the planning and we were not having fun with it anymore. This time away helped clear our heads and we didn’t feel pressured for a small window of time to have everything figured out since it was so close to the date.”
