Regina: Outdoor Wedding on Wascana Lake

From the bride, Janelle:

We wanted our wedding day to be a special day with lots of time to spend with family and friends.  We kept all of the details simple and relaxed.  We thought this would help us enjoy the day as much as possible! The girls got ready at the Home Inn and Suites while the boys started downtown at the DoubleTree by Hilton.  Our ceremony was set for 1:30 on the beautiful patio at the Willow on Wascana.  Immediately after our ceremony we had a sparkling wine toast followed by appetizers and mingling.  At this point we snuck away to start our formal photos while our guests enjoyed the beautiful sunny afternoon.

For our supper we chose to keep it small with only our families.  It was important to us to have a small family dinner, and such a great way to connect with our parents, siblings, grandparents and bridal party.  Your wedding day goes by so quickly so we loved having a quiet moment to spend with our family before all the fun started! It was such a nice relaxing time to visit and reflect on our exciting day!  The reception began shortly after with our first dance and a few speeches.  Then our band started up and kicked off the party! It was such a special day for both of us.
