From the bride, Tabitha:
We celebrated our ten-year wedding anniversary in May and decided that we wanted to renew our wedding vows. Once we decided to renew them in the Regina, we knew that Ali Lauren Creative Services needed to be a part of it. I wanted my dress to be black lace, and then everything else just started coming together around that. My husband wanted to have a vintage type suit, and we knew we wanted to renew our vows in Stone Hall Castle. We really love the look of the castle, and wanted our photos and theme to reflect its old, dark feel. I incorporated my original wedding jewelry into my hairpiece and into the lantern that I carried in our ceremony.
Being able to renew our vows in such an intimate and personal way was so nice. It was just the two of us, the officiant and the photographer. The vow renewal itself was short and sweet, and then we just spent the rest of the evening taking creative photos. We went outside to Wascana Park for some photos in the park and on the lake in a canoe. We love spending time on the water during the summer, so the folks at the Wascana Canoe and Kayak Rentals were gracious enough to end our evening on the water in one of their canoes. We both really enjoyed being able to end our photo session in a canoe, even though it was so windy and not easy to maneuver in fancy clothes!
We ended the day with a nice dinner, and a stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton. That’s where we privately exchanged our vows that we wrote for each other, just the two of us. It was such a nice way to finish our special evening.
