Saskatoon: Sunflower and Burgundy Wedding

From photographer Stephanie Strauss Hall of Retrospect Photography:

Raeann and Cody got married on a gorgeous autumn day in Saskatoon.  The ladies got ready at the couple’s new home.  The empty dining room made a spectacular getting ready room with the french doors and studio-like space. Raeann and Cody were high school sweethearts, so it was appropriate to get a photo of her on her wedding morning holding their prom picture!

The ceremony was held at Cathedral of the Holy Family.  The priest gave a heartfelt, personalized message to the couple that had moments of laughter and tears.  We did photos at a field on the edge of the city for a rustic, romantic look and then ended up at the university campus to add in some architecture.  We did a quick surprise visit to the hospital to visit Grandma who couldn’t make it to the event.  Tears were shed!

The reception was held back at the church hall, where delicious food and an unconventional ice cream cake were highlights. The hall was decorated with a rustic elegance theme and a beautiful sunflower yellow and wine burgundy palette, perfect for fall. These two are such a lovely and gracious couple!  Many congratulations to them.
